Toledo City Council - 8/2/16
At its regular meeting scheduled for 4:00 p.m. today, Toledo City Council will likely vote on two resolutions that would each place a question on the November 8 general election ballot.
Resolution 282-16 would renew the City's three-quarter percent temporary income tax for a period of four years, beginning January 1, 2017. One-third of the proceeds would be allocated to police, fire and other safety services, one-third to the General Fund, and one-third to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) fund. The City would still have the ability to transfer proceeds from the CIP portion of the funding to the General Fund.
Resolution 258-16 would make a number of updates to the City Charter.
