Aside from partaking in every available ritual that might bring monsoon season -- or even just a normal thunderstorm -- to Santa Fe, we've been keeping our chapter members busy: We all did such a good job wishing for rain that we finally got some - at our annual picnic! Portia found us a beautiful site up the mountain in Hyde Park which, luckily for us, had a new, watertight shelter that protected us from the welcome, if imperfectly timed, downpour that accompanied our event. We're thinking June for next year's picnic might be more likely to ensure a sunny day...
In the meantime, the first trip to Taos was such a hit, a second one is about to take place -- August 4th. We've also organized a group to tour the Opera House together -- Saturday, August 13: after two years of renovations, there's more to see than ever! (And, because it's a little early in the morning, they offer coffee and muffins.) And it's all free!
In September, we'll be presenting the
Women in Transition workshop. If you've participated before, it's worth doing again because it's always a little different and your transitions tend to evolve. (Some of us have done two or three of the workshops.) We're also starting a Lunch Bunch in September -- "Ladies Who Lunch" Santa Fe-style! Join us for good company, good food and maybe a few restaurants you've never tried.
Finally, newer members will gather for tea in the early fall to get to know one another and meet some of our Committee Chairs and members. We're also planning to form a new Transition Support Group.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
There is more than one way to RSVP to a TTN event - through Meetup, on the TTN website or by e-mailing the organizer. It doesn't matter which method you use but
it is important that you RSVP to any event you plan to attend
. It's
a great help to event organizers.
Thank you!

Art Santa Fe - A Feast for the Eyes!
Art Santa Fe, the second largest art market in the United States, provided a venue for enjoying the art of established studio artists not only from the Santa Fe area, but also from across the United States and around the world. Volunteer Virginia Asman hosted a gathering of several TTN members who not only viewed the art but had the opportunity of meeting and speaking with the artists directly in addition to learning more about their processes during scheduled artist panel discussions. The event took place during the weekend of July 8-10 at the Santa Fe Convention Center.
