The 90 foot tower still lies on the ground beside the station, undergoing repairs. [ story ] There's been a lot of rain in Tongan - a lot of rain! (If you've been there in winter you'll know what I mean.)
When I talked to Willy recently, the water lying around the station building was 18 inches deep! No good for welding and painting.
And Murray (our technical and engineering man) has been especially busy in his job which takes him to New Zealand and Australia, as well as around Tonga.
However our temporary mast is giving very good coverage for now. Across Tongatapu, Tonga's main island.
We constantly get phone calls from the other islands. Those listeners are missing our broadcast.
Please pray
for Murray's availability
for workers' safety
for dry weather this weekend to get that work done.
There is a new youth program once a month. Please ask God to encourage the hearts of the young people as they focus on following Jesus.
Loni and his discipleship team are planning and fund-raising for a
youth camp in October. Please also pray this will be an encouraging and fruitful gathering for the young people.
Willy has also praying and looking out for a few young people that he can gather and train for service at the radio station. Please join him in praying for this.
I don't have recent news from the Solomon Islands. I will pass that on as I get it. In the meantime, be encouraged by what the Lord is doing in Tonga through our prayers and donations (and the hard work of our Tongan workers).
Please pray that both stations will soon
be back on air at full strength, broadcasting the Gospel to the people of Tonga and the Solomon Islands.
"And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for."
