A Note from our Executive Director:

"It's déjà vu all over again"*... yes, I know it probably seems like that sometimes when you see my articles. But, some things "Berra repeating"** .... Over and over and over again!

So with that in mind, PLEASE sign up soon for ChamberFest! We will obviously allow last minute attendees but it will be really helpful to have a more accurate count so we can prepare enough food and beverage for the event.

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about... READ your weekly reviews! There is a lot of good information in them (over and over again).

ChamberFest is in less than two weeks - August 11th beginning at 4 pm at Harriet Park. You do not have to be there at 4 because the food and fun will continue until at least 7 pm (It ain't over till it's over, you know*). Bring yourself, your co-workers, staff, significant others, families, kids and prospective Chamber members!

We will have great food, cold beverages, valuable networking and mucho fun! And, it is all free!

For another déjà vu moment, don't forget to let us know if you have any items to put in the new teacher bags for the Verona Area School District. This is a great way to introduce your business to many new faces to Verona!

We are accepting items until Monday, August 15th. We are putting together 75 bags so please provide 75 of each item you are donating.

So stay cool and remember, " If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else. * So wind up at ChamberFest!

Thanks Yogi... :)

New Teacher Gift Bags
Due August 15th
Verona Area Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber is once again organizing New Teacher Welcome bags for the new staff coming to the Verona Area School District this fall.

The School District has had a large number of new hires this year so we need to do a few more bags than in previous years!

To participate, simply bring 75 marketing items to the Chamber office by Monday, August 15th. Popular items from the past include pens and pencils with your business name on them, note pads, refrigerator magnets, water bottles, snacks with a business card attached (such as a bag of microwave popcorn), coffee mugs, and even a fly swatter! Use your imagination!

There was a lot of competition for bags this year! The first to offer to donate the reusable shopping bags was Wisconsin Bank & Trust!

You can bring more than 75 items, but please think in multiples of 75 (for example, 150 pencils would mean two in each bag). Also, feel free to send a few extra pieces in case there is a last-minute hire.

Discount coupons are also acceptable, but the school district requests that no gift cards be included. If you have questions about the New Teacher Welcome Bags, please call Le or Molly at 845-5777 or e-mail [email protected] or [email protected].
TRUE Studio Groundbreaking Ceremony
July 29
160 Keenan Ct., Verona WI 53593

The Chamber is excited to welcome TRUE Studio to Verona! TRUE Studio held it's groundbreaking ceremony at their flagship 10,600 sq fo ot TRUE studio site  on Friday, July 29th behind the new Pizza Ranch at 160 Keenan Court and plan to be open for business by January, 2017.

The Studio Model:
The idea of a dedicated boutique studio model is not new. It has thrived for years unique to exercise activities such as yoga, Pilates, and bootcamp, even though those activities are widely available in large gym settings. True Studio offers 3 unique studio environments under one luxurious roof.
Below are 7 keys that will differentiate the business:
Dedicated boutique
By definition, a studio with niche offerings is more focused on the quality of that service than a large gym providing dozens.
Complementary workouts
Indoor cycling is an extremely effective cardio workout and participants can complement that exercise with a strength or yoga class.
Expert instruction
High energy, charismatic instructors will be selected and trained for their ability to attract and retain class attendees.
Pricing convenience and flexibility
Contract memberships or "pay-per-class" options will be available. Pre-paid ride card fees, or monthly passes are purchased online and class credits are debited as customers attend.
Online scheduling
The studio will deploy a unique online sales and scheduling system that users can also access via mobile device. The system vastly simplifies class dynamics for the studio and is a major convenience for customers.
Intimacy and community
The studio atmosphere is markedly different from the feel- ing at "big box" gyms. Instructors and class attendees interact more directly and the vibe is fun, friendly and supportive. Appeals to all ages, fitness levels.
Convenience and amenities
Clients can get in and out quickly for an efficient workout. Amenities will include towels, filtered water, spa-grade shower products, hair styling tools, lockers with USB charging stations, cycling shoes, environment-friendly yoga mats, complimentary wi-fi, and expansive social area.

For more information about True Studio visit their website at  http://truestudio.com/ or visit them on Facebook for up to the minute news.
