Details of this project were anticipated and addressed early on. Judi, our in-house Interior Architectural Designer, worked closely with the homeowner to maintain the architect's vision while integrating functionality and flow in specific areas such as the kitchen. Appliance selections and storage space were carefully considered to best accommodate the needs of the homeowner.
In other parts of the home, emphasis was placed on function and practicality. Anticipation of future use and attending to details are essential in any home project. For example, one discussion led to redesigning a specific area in which a proposed window seat became a more practical built-in homework station for their children.
There were many other exciting facets of this extensive renovation including:
- New, enlarged two-car garage, powder room, mudroom and family room
- First floor office
- New back stairway, connecting the family room to the second story
- Exquisite master suite with stone fireplace, master bath with sun drenching windows, and walk-in closet with custom millwork
- Conveniently located laundry room, homework station, Jack and Jill bathroom, en suite bathroom and playroom
