June at Hilltop Farm

In June, FOFAH will celebrate two important days to explore the out of doors in your own back yard. Both events, the CT Trails Day and CT Open House will be held at Hilltop Farm.

Help "tidy up" the bridge area in the Open Space, that are Suffield Town owned and FOFAH managed . Thank You's

FOFAH would like to acknowledge the great work done by Bill's Landscaping, LLC of Enfield. Owner, Bill Guzie has done a great job in directing the huge cleaning up effort after a winter of work on the garage and houses. Trucks and dumpster are the signs of progress but left their marks. Top soil and seeding have gone a long way to make the property look more friendly.

The students of Windsor Locks'  Pine Meadow Academy have been performing their service learning hours at Hilltop throughout the school year.  We would never have been able to keep up the the regular maintenance of the property without their able and energetic assistance.  We thank them and wish them a great summer vacation.

Welcoming Billy C's Local Raw Honey

T his year we are welcoming Bill Crawford and New England Apiaries to Hilltop Farm.  Last week Bill installed three pallets of bee hives just east of the red bull barn, near the Community Gardens.  He will be donating some of the collected honey to The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop.  We plan to sell it at Farm Fest in September!

FOFAH is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to restoring Hilltop Farm into an educational and recreational resource for the community. All donations go to the improvement of the farm. Many thanks to the volunteers for their dedication and community support that has allowed FOFAH to advance the restoration of the Hilltop Farmstead.
