Cante waste ya nape ciyu zape ye ("I shake your hand with a good heart" in the Lakota language). This summer has been a very busy time for the staff at Native Americans in Philanthropy. While we've been wrapping up our very successful Philanthropy Institute, we also took on a new philanthropy project with the White House's Generation Indigenous initiative starting with an event at the White House on August 26, 2016.

Native Americans in Philanthropy is honored to partner with the White House on a Generation Indigenous (Gen-I) philanthropic event, "Generation Indigenous: Raising Impact with Innovation and Proven Strategies" on August 26, 2016, at the White House. Read how you can get involved here.

PolicyLink and My Brother's Keeper Community Assessment for Building a Movement for Boys and Men of Color
On Friday, July 15, 2016, NAP was invited to participate in a crucial conversation to discuss the capacity of our community to sustain work supporting boys and men of color and to address systemic and policy barriers to their success over the long term in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Neighborhood Funders Group: People, Place, & Power 
The Neighborhood Funders Group (NFG) held their national convening this year from June 14-16 in Oakland, California.
