There are 2 lifts that run in the summer up Mt. Crested Butte- the Red Lady lift which goes half way up the mountain to the left, and the Silver Queen lift which takes you most of the way to the top. Either will offer you a lovely half day of hiking downhill.

For fun, stop to see the expert fishermen fishing in the trophy area just under the Taylor Dam. I love to see their expert casting and detailed outfitting.
Or go fish in Taylor Lake. The beauty of Taylor Lake and the big bowl of mountains it sits in will take your breath. You can rent a boat at Taylor Marina and fish for trout, salmon and pike. Bring your lunch! Be careful, the waters are as icy as in Taylor River.
