An off-the-record DC Bar discussion " Position Limits and Beyond" will provide an overview of the CFTC's recent proposed alternative process for Designated Contract Markets (DCMs) and Swap Execution Facilities (SEFs) to recognize non-enumerated bona fide hedges, including anticipatory hedges, and to exempt certain spread transactions from speculative position limits. The panel will also discuss comments made by exchanges and industry participants on the proposal, and the relationship of the current proposal to the comprehensive pending proposed position limits rules.  Stephen Sherrod, a senior economist in the CFTC's Division of Market Oversight, will participate.
