Congress was away for the first week of its summer recess. Both the House and the Senate will return after Labor Day, during the first full week of September.
Republicans wrapped up their convention in Cleveland this week, completing the nomination of Donald Trump for President. Democrats and Hillary Clinton will have their turn this upcoming week in Philadelphia.
