In light of the recent upsurge of violence against our brave men and women in blue who protect all of us 365 days a year, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for their service and for the sacrifices they make every day to keep us safe. We hope that all efforts are made to stop the cycle of distrust between Law Enforcement and the citizens they have sworn to serve and protect. We pray for the end of all the senseless violence and loss of life. We honor our fallen heroes and pledge to carry their light in our hearts and in the heart of a grateful nation.

According to today's complex regulations, those of us who grew up in the '50'as and '60's should never have survived! Check out this list...
Our cribs were covered with brightly colored lead-based paint which we teethed on.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, or latches on kitchen cabinets.
There were no bicycle helmets.
Belts were worn to hold up our pants.
We drank water from the garden hose, not from a bottle, and it tasted the same.
We ate chips, real butter and drank fizzy juice with sugar in it, but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing.
Four friends shared the same can of soda and no one ever died.
We left home in the morning and played all day, as long as we were back before it got dark. No could phone us and no one minded.
There were no video games, DVD movies, iPod, mobile phones or personal computers.
We were never bored. We had friends because we went outside and made them.
We fell out of trees, got cut, and broke bones but there were no law suits.
We walked to friends' homes, school and parks. Even if it was raining. That's what boots and raincoats were for.
The idea of our parents bailing us out if we broke the law was never entertained. We knew they would side with the law!
