What we are working on, looking at, thinking about, and inspired by.

BIAMD's 5-Thoughts Friday
Here are the 5 things we thought were worth sharing this week:
2016 Eat A Peach Cancelled

For reasons we are still exploring, we were not able to attract riders or volunteers in sufficient numbers that would the justify the time, talent, and funds necessary to deliver the type of extraordinary experience we knew the brain injury community had come to expect and that we fully intended to deliver.

This event, hosted by the Brain Injury Association of Maryland (BIAMD) will rally survivors, families, friends, and supporters around the common goal of raising awareness about brain injury within the community and providing much needed funding to support the programs and initiatives of BIAMD.

BIAMD Receives $20,000 Grant for 2017 Conference Scholarships

In recognition of the the valuable educational and network opportunities provided by the BIAMD's Annual Conference, the Maryland State Department of Education has funded BIAMD's grant request.

In March of this year, over 55 public school teachers, therapists, nurses, and psychologists from throughout Maryland came to 2016 Annual Conference. We hope to increase that number in 2017.
Quote we are contemplating this week:

"An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward.  So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it is going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming."
