School Announcements
Schedule Update: Wednesday, August 10, is no longer scheduled as an Early Release day. Please plan on a full schedule of classes and 2:40 PM dismissal on Wednesday, August 10.

Please keep an eye on the left sidebar of our school website www.veritasprep.org for the latest information and school documents.

Parking Permits: Please note that all 2015-2016 parking permits will expire for the coming school year and must be renewed, either via VPREP pre-registration (see link below) or at the front office. If you have a permit from last year, and are not interested in renewing, please return the pass to the front office. Also, if you already purchased a parking permit through VPREP pre-registration, these will be distributed at VPREP.

IMPORTANT VPREP Policy Update: Please note that, in order to pick up each student's class schedules and other personal information at VPREP, August 4, a parent or legal guardian, over the age of 18, will need to be present and will need to show photo identification. This is a new requirement, so make sure to bring your ID with you on August 4.

VPREP Pre-Registration
: Our August 4 bookstore and orientation day is required for families, but this year the process will be even easier, since you can pre-register for VPREP! Fill out important forms and pay fees online in advance! By filling out the forms and providing confirmation, you can more easily make your way through the stations and get your locker and schedule information sooner! Families who pre-register will have a separate, quick check-in at VPREP!

Student Achievements

Incoming senior Jacob Harper will be going on his second mission trip to a village his church supports in South Africa. He will help build a vertical garden, teach preschool and lead games for the children during Vacation Bible School at the village church. He has also attended several week-long medical mission trips to Mexico with physicians from the Mayo Clinic and other healthcare organizations. One of his main functions during these medical missions is to act as translator for the doctors, aided by the Spanish instruction he received at Veritas Prep!

If your student has an achievement you would like to recognize, please email us at [email protected].
Student Leadership Program

ASU's Center for Political Thought and Leadership is sponsoring a day long program of seminars and lectures on the theme of leadership on Friday, July 29th at VPA for students in grades 10-12. Our own senior Humane Letters teacher Michael Fink will lead seminars on Lincoln's speech on the Dred Scott decision and the 2nd Lincoln-Douglas debate. After the seminars and a catered lunch, Center scholars will give a pair of lectures on Lincoln's presidential leadership, followed by a series of talks by prominent local leaders that will provide students insight into what leadership looks like in diverse areas including non-profit organizations, local politics, and business. Seating is limited, so students interested in attending this free event should contact Michael Fink at  [email protected] for more information.

Athletics Updates

SPORTS REGISTRATION FOR 2016-17

Veritas Athletics has a NEW registration platform (Register My Athlete) for registering your student for athletics.

To register your athlete(s )for 2016-17 go to the REGISTER tab on our website               http://veritasprepathletics.com/.
Click on REGISTER ATHLETE in the drop-down menu.  This will take you directly to our new registration process at  https://home.registermyathlete.com/login/ to create an account.
Features that we think parents will like about this process include:
-One account allows for a parent to register multiple children for multiple sports for the year.
-Parents do not have to re-enter contact, insurance and medical information for the additional student-athletes and/or for future years. (Information can easily be updated as needed.)
-Parents can access all required forms and links from their account as well as the payment link.
-Parents can upload digital versions of required documents for Athletic Office approval.
-Parents can easily see what eligibility items are completed, pending, or incomplete.

We hope this new platform provides an excellent service to you!  If you need technical support, please email [email protected] or call 435-213-1601
As always, if you have athletic-related concerns, please email  [email protected] or call 602-263-1128 ext. 421
