This weekend the heat is predicted to reach dangerous levels. The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather alert for our area.

With humidity expected to top 100 degrees it is vital you keep yourself and your pets safe. Follow these tips to keep everyone cool during this heat wave!

So Much Fun Happening This Weekend 
Leap for Love Festival
Friday July 22 through Sunday, July 24
Join us at Subaru of Dayton, Friday through Sunday for a fun-filled weekend for people and pets to enjoy! Buckeye Dock Dogs will have competitions going on all weekend as well as food trucks, bounce houses and of course adoptable pets!

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Join us in partnership with Whole Foods Market and PetPeople for an adoption event to find homes for lots of puppies and kittens!   

Available puppies will be at Whole Foods Market as well as kittens at PetPeople. 

Whole Foods Market Giving Grill will also have food available with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the animals at our shelter. 

Bunny Adoption Event
Sunday, July 25
12 to 3 p.m.
Looking for a furry bunny to add to your family? Stop by the PetPeople and visit with some of the amazing rabbits we have available for adoption at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. We will also have our expert Bunny Brigade volunteers on hand to answer any of your rabbit questions.

Join the Team at the MeowZa Cat Boutique
Want to be a superhero for cats? Sign up today to volunteer at the MeowZa Cat Boutique! Our store is primarily run by volunteers and we are always looking for cat lovers who have a knack for customer service and love watching cats find forever homes! To sign up, visit www.hsdayton.org/volunteer  and sign up for an open house.

 At minimum we ask volunteers to give at least four hours a month. In just that little bit of time, you can do so much for the cats in our care!

Tee Off for the Pets
What better way is there to spend a summer day than on the golf course? Dust off those golf clubs and get your team ready for a day of fun in the sun to help the animals!

Held at the  Golf Club at Yankee Trace  on August 19, this fifth annual event is a great way for golfers to get some time on the green, win some great prizes and help the animals at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.

Have a vehicle you want to get rid of? Take the high road and donate it to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. Simply fill out the form below and we will take care of the rest!

You vehicle will then be auctioned off and the money raised from those sales will come straight to the animals in our care. We can take trucks, cars, boats, machinary and other items!

Plus, it is totally tax deductible for you!
