- Maplewood Stables' popular Adult Ride & Whine Camp, to be held October 27-30 in Reno, Nevada, is filling up quickly. Don't miss your opportunity to attend this fun and educational adult getaway that combines horsemanship and entertainment into an action-packed weekend!
Due to popular demand, Maplewood staff has added exciting new features to the Adult Ride & Whine Camp itinerary, which now features an additional day of instruction and trips to some of the most scenic areas in the renowned Lake Tahoe area.
The fall camp features extensive riding instruction in small groups, a party bus ride and dinner to Lake Tahoe,
a party bus ride and dinner in Virginia City in search of wild horses,
in-depth fitness instruction and nutrition guidance from Bindee Eberle, MS, RD, CSSD, CSCS
as well as Julie Winkel teaching each of the riding groups one day.
This unique retreat is for adults of all ages and riding abilities who want to learn and have a good time together.
Additional activities include trail riding, dining, wine tasting,
the latest fashion tends for equine enthusiasts,
presentations on conformation, secrets to success in the show ring and much, much more.
Riding instructors include Julie and Kevin Winkel, Corinne Shaw and Andrew Jayne. Riders are grouped according to their respective levels, with ample opportunity to work on basics as well as learn new skills.
The camp schedule is: Thursday 4 p.m.-8 p.m. - Friday/Saturday 9 a.m-9 p.m. - Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. includes meals and wine.
The cost is $1,500/per person, which includes board for your horse or the lease of one of our wonderful mounts.
A deposit of $500 holds your place, and the balance is due the first day of camp.
Additionally, we are offering our attendees the opportunity to stay in the intern dorm, if space is available, for $50/night.
To ensure the highest levels of education and fun, there will be a strict 15-person limit.
