National Family Fun Month
August Family Fun
Just because summer is almost over, it doesn't mean the fun has to stop! August is National Family Fun month and Chandler Parks & Recreation has lined up some great activities the whole family can enjoy. From fall break camps, to leisure classes and epic explorations there is fun for everyone! 

Mark your calendars, resident registration opens Saturday, August 6 and non-resident registration opens Friday, August 12.

Preschool

Building Blocks Fall 2016
Building the foundation of your child's classroom experience,
Building Blocks balances traditional kindergarten prep activities with a play-based curriculum where kids get plenty of outside time. Each week offers a variety of creative arts, math, science and language arts activities. 
Classes are available at the Chandler Community Center , Snedigar Recreation Center and Tumbleweed Recreation Center  (now offering Athletes and Artists classes ) . Pre-registration required. Get a head of the class, reserve your spot now.

Youth

Story Time Let's discover friendship, adventure and the joy of reading as we explore the "Clarence" series and other books written by local author Jean Ekman Adams. Join us Saturdays, this month (August 6-27) at the Chandler Community Center for Clarence, Crafts & Community.

Get your teen off the couch and fit this summer! Join us for Teen Fit Camp. Over the course of four-week sessions, teens are guided through a progression of cardio, strength, cross training and flexibility strategies and ultimately learn how to stay active and lead healthier lifestyles.

Active Adult

Senior Luau
Hang Ten, Dude! Join Chandler's active adult community on Wednesday, August 24 as they catch the wave and ride it into the annual Senior Luau Party.   Throw on your loudest Hawaiian attire and limbo down to the Senior Center at 10 a.m. for an island-inspired party and fun-filled morning of dancing, games and snacks. Don't de-lei - it's free!
