OrthoNOW Co-Founder and CFO, Justin Irizarry to Present Workshop on Disruptive Healthcare Delivery Models

, the nation's first and only orthopedic urgent care network, will be leading a workshop on disruptive healthcare delivery model at the annual
FIME Conference
on August 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The FIME trade exhibition and conference is held at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Registration to the conference and the workshop is FREE to the public before July 19.
Mr. Irizarry, a Cornell University and Wharton School of Business graduate, was recently recognized with the prestigious 2016 South Florida Business Journal "40 Under 40" award for his pioneering entrepreneurial work with the OrthoNOW franchise and developing and activating a business model that changes how patients can access expert orthopedic care on-demand and at a cost-effective rate. In 2014, OrthoNOW was named by Entrepreneur as a "Top Ten Franchise Opportunity" in healthcare.
The workshop will be an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn how Irizarry has navigated the healthcare economy by breaking through old models of healthcare delivery and creating a bold new way to reshape the system. He will share valuable insights including key healthcare franchising tenets. Part of the workshop will be dedicated to the OrthoNOW orthopedic urgent care center model which offers a turn-key solution with a comprehensive support system.
FIME is the largest and most attended annual medical trade exhibition and conference in the Western Hemisphere. FIME's primary focus is four areas of the medical industry: technology, products and supplies, services, and equipment.

Lillian S Wells Foundation Donates $1 Million to Create Neuroscience Center at Broward Health North
|
The
Lillian S. Wells Foundation has donated $1 million toward a $2.5 million renovation project at Pompano Beach based
Broward Health North, which will locate all of the hospital's neurological services into one convenient area while allowing for the expansion of neurological treatments and services.
The new
Neuroscience Center at Broward Health North will serve as a convenient one-stop shop for people with neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's, dementia, neuromuscular diseases, movement disorders, epilepsy and headache. The Center will also address Parkinson's disease, brain tumors and stroke. The renovation will relocate all neurological services, including doctors' offices, exam rooms and diagnostic testing, to the front of the hospital, will add a separate entrance, as well as dedicated parking to provide easy access to patients and their caregivers.

Public company acquires medical firm with over 100 providers

Resolute Anesthesia and Pain Solutions has been acquired by
Sheridan.
Sheridan, the physician services division of Nashville-based
Amsurg Corp. (Nasdaq: AMSG), didn't disclose the terms of the deal. Resolute Anesthesia has more than 100 providers and 30 locations in Florida, New Jersey, Missouri and Illinois. It operates out of ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals and pain management clinics.
