Zucchini Growers Contest

Attention gardeners! We're awarding an EFM Market Bag and $25 in tokens to the growers of the largest and weirdest zucchini. Bring your zukes to the EFM information tent this Saturday.

Vintage Racers

It's hard to believe that we started this zany race 10 years ago. At that time our city was struggling with deserted streets and vacant storefronts and our market was lucky to see a few hundred people each week. Like many of our events, we used the Zuke 500 as away to attract families downtown and to the market. And it worked (boy, did it work) thanks to all of you!

We just love this photo of the very first Zuke 500 and expect some of these original racers (you might recognize a few!) to come back and join us this year.  Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines!
A Love of Racing and a Passion for Easton!

One thing we've always done when scheduling the Zucchini 500 is make sure that the date doesn't conflict with a NASCAR race. Why you ask? Well, if it did, we'd have to operate the race without the expert assistance of real life NASCAR official Peter Brohl! Dressed in his racing whites and always ready for action, Peter has officiated the race every year since 2008. He's seen the glory of victory and the agony of squishy cars that could barely make it down the track. Peter and his wife Barbara are committed to helping young racers squash the competition and ensuring that everybody has a great time. The race just wouldn't be the same without them!

Thank you Peter and Barbara for being such amazing volunteers and sharing your time and talents with the Easton Farmers' Market, Easton Main Street Initiative and Easton Business Association!
