Dear friends and Fellows,

November has been an active month for the C.S. Lewis Institute Annapolis. We plan to scale back activities in December and begin fresh in January with a seminar by Jerry Root on Tuesday, January 27, 7-9pm, location TBD. This will be a dessert and coffee event. Jerry is a C.S. Lewis scholar and an author whose books are part of our Fellows readings. Mark your calendar to attend.

We have booked Randy Newman (author and apologist) to conduct an apologetics seminar on February 27 and 28. Randy is a gifted speaker and facilitator and will be working with our Fellows (past and present) to sharpen their apologetic skills.

We will have another dessert/coffee seminar with Terry Lindvall on Wednesday, March 11, 7-9pm, location TBD. Terry will be speaking on, "If C.S. Lewis met Stephen Colbert, Thoughts About Humor, Culture, and Joy." Terry is also a C.S. Lewis scholar and this event promises laughter and challenging thought.

Terry will then be our speaker at our annual Mentor Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, March 12, 6:30-9pm, location TBD. Terry will provide mentor training mixed with great humor. Mentors past and present will be welcome.

Below is our calendar of events for the coming year. Please mark your calendars and plan to participate as often as possible.

We at the C.S. Lewis Institute wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you at these outstanding seminar events in 2015.

Blessings all...

Fantastic joint event with Downtown Hope to bring Dr. Ken Boa to
the Annapolis bookstore for questions and discussion.

We filled the upstairs of the Federal House on Saturday evening, with another great event open to the community for Q&A and Discussion with Dr. Ken Boa. Both evenings had live music from local musician Rob Levit to kick things off!

Amy's Corner:

Hurray, it is Christmas! I love the Advent season as it is a time in which everyone is brought to a place of confronting the truth of Christ coming to earth! We are having our end of the year SJC Christmas party TONIGHT, Friday, December 5 at 6:00pm at my house! I'm at 201 Hanover St, upstairs in apartment A. Everyone from St. John's is welcome for dinner, games, music, and carols.

Our final C.S. Lewis reading group meeting of the year will be on this Sunday, December 7 at 7:00pm in the General Hartle Room of the BBC. We will finish reading Lewis' Til We Have Faces. We
had an excellent discussion last time, and I'm really looking forward to our evening on Sunday. We will be reading and discussing Mere Christianity in the New Year and I can't wait!

Students head home on December 12 (so early!), so please be in prayer for their travel, and also for the light of Christ to shine in their lives over this Christmas season. Johnnies love to sing, and one of my favorite parts of their collegium performance at the end of the semester is that everyone stays around and sings some of the best, Jesus-filled Christmas carols - and it is beautiful!

This next week will be our final meetings for our wonderful men and women's fellowships. We have had a blessed semester and I look forward to seeing everyone again in January.

For those women who are Fellows Program alumnae, we will be meeting again in the New Year, so stay tuned to the newsletter for the invitation and book announcement!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Love,

Amy
