The Kent Memorial Library gratefully acknowledges the wonderful work of two staff members who are moving on to other endeavors. After ten years at the Library, Ellen Paul has taken a new position at the Warren Historical Society. Her creativity, productiveness and genealogical genius will be greatly missed and we wish her the very best.

"Ellen has been a tireless contributor to our library for 10 years.  She particularly enjoyed bringing history to life, and spearheaded many programs that we shared with Kent Center School, Warren School, and the Kildonan School about immigration, the Underground Railroad, and colonial life, just to name a few. Ellen was loved by many children and families in the area, and she will be sorely missed. Her competence in all areas of library work will be hard to replace." shared co-director of Children's Services Sarah Marshall.

Also transitioning is library assistant Abigail LaFontan who will be starting her college career at UCONN. Abigail's tireless work over the past year was invaluable and she will be missed. Best wishes to her in college as she pursues a career in law.

"Without Abigail's technical savvy and willingness to assist with any and every project, many of our programs would not have run so smoothly," cites Lucy Pierpont, marketing and special program
director. "Abigail is a talented young lady who is sure to go far in her endeavors towards a law degree. We wish her the very best." Pierpont continued.

We are also happy to announce that Sammy Starr will be joining our staff as the new librar y assistant. Sammy is a Kent resident and is presently a sophomore at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Her interests include reading and it is with great fondness that she remembers "Miss Sarah" and "Miss Ellen" in her younger days as a patron at KML. We welcome her and look forward to having her on board.
