Clear blue skies and the challenging Indian Hills golf course made the perfect setting for our 1st Annual Golf Event to support our mission of assisting homeless families with children get back on their feet. With a shotgun start in scramble format, 107 golfers enjoyed a great day of golf followed by a buffet lunch and a raffle of over 50 prizes and gift certificates. The tournament winners were foursome Chris Darley, Matt Darley, Marshall Darley, and Scott Smith. The day concluded with a marriage proposal by golf chairperson Gary Critelli to his wife Susan. Despite several decades of wedded bliss, Gary had always regretted never formally asking his wife to marry him and he surprised her in front of their FPCC family.
Will you marry me?
Through the generous donations of all our sponsors and golfers, we were able to raise $17,000. Words cannot express how grateful the FPCC community is to the sponsors, golfers, and especially to the golf committee. Six individuals, Gary Critelli, Hale Sanders, Sandra Hobson, Faye Nalls, Dave Browning and Julie Fulcher worked for months to make this first event a success. In the words of one of the attendees, "This is one of the best charity golf tournaments I've ever been to."

Moving On and Graduating
We are so excited for Family #2 (mom and 3 children) to be in their own home. They were able to take advantage of time in our Kirkwood Promise House while looking for their own place. They were our fourth family to graduate this year.
Family #8 (Mom, Dad and 3 children) also found a place to rent and moved into their own space. They became our fifth family to graduate this year. A sign up genius has been set up for cleaning and pantry supplies for them. If you are interested in donating, you can follow this link
Help us spread the word. We need to find a new Day Center by the end of the year. The ideal place would be something we could occupy for low rent, has a shower, laundry hookups, and space for families to spread out when they can't be at our network congregations. Please contact Camilla at [email protected] if you have a lead.
