The sights, the tastes, the pride... Your heritage. Isn't it time you visited Israel?

Whether it's your first trip or a return trip, traveling with Rabbi Sharfman and your Kehillah friends is an experience you will treasure forever. Rabbi Sharfman is fluent in Hebrew and formerly a licensed Israel tour guide .... all that's missing is YOU!

Here's what Dr. Mort Berkowitz said about the 3rd Fabulous Trip to Israel:

"Without a doubt the most interesting, exciting, moving, memorable experience I have ever had and for an octogenarian who has traveled extensively, this trip to Israel overshadowed everything else."

Photo at right: A stunning view of Tzfat (Safed); we'll spend three nights in this gorgeous, inspiring location!

Contact Rabbi Sharfman or Renee Joffe to let them know you're interested!

BOOK GROUP
Sunday, August 7, 10:00 a.m.
at the home of Linda Brill

All are welcome to attend, even if you haven't finished (or started!) the book. At our August meeting we'll discuss This is Where I Leave You, by Jonathan Tropper, who "deftly merges caustic one-liners, zany slapstick, and raw emotion in this hilarious yet heartbreaking story" ( Bookmarks Magazine). Please RSVP to Linda at [email protected]. If you have questions about the Book Group in general, please contact Sherry Siegel at [email protected].

Read ahead for our next meetings!
September 11: The Nightingale, by Kristin Hannah, at the home of Ellen Lerman
October 9: Charms for the Easy Life, by Kaye Gibbons, at the home of Ilene Riffle

Everyone is welcome at Kehillah's Book Group!

TOT SHABBAT - 6:45 p.m.
KABBALAT SHABBAT - 7:30 p.m.
Friday, August 19

Join us as we return from our brief summer break and celebrate Shabbat for tots and for grown-ups.
Come to one or both services! We look forward to seeing you.

Shabbat candles Tot Shabbat is geared towards those five years old and under, but all are welcome.

Tot Shabbat families, we encourage you to stay for regular services: Tots and their grown-ups will be invited to light candles together at the beginning of Kabbalat Shabbat. (Candle lighting occurs at approximately 7:40 p.m.) Then, feel free to stay as long as you want and leave whenever you need to; we understand that bedtime comes early for some tots (and their parents!).

Torah Talk
TORAH TALK
Saturday, August 20, 10:30 a.m.
At the home of Ellen and Elliott Lerman

Discover why Torah Talk is one of Kehillah's most-loved traditions! Torah Talk is a morning filled with questions, conversation, laughter, and the opportunity to get up-close and personal with Rabbi Sharfman and your fellow CK members and seekers. No prior knowledge is needed to enjoy Torah Talk; all are welcome. Please RSVP to Ellen at [email protected] by Thursday, August 18, even if you are a regular attendee, so the host(s) can prepare.
