C.S. Lewis Institute
    Resources for Discipleship of Heart and Mind

As I write this we have just completed Ken Boa's annual visit to Annapolis. Ken is a gifted biblical scholar and many were blessed by his visit. Some of his activities in Annapolis included:

Preaching in three services at USNA Chapel;

Teaching at the USNA Adult Sunday School Class;

Teaching at the Food & Faith luncheon with faculty, staff and guests at the USNA;

Meeting with the USNA Chaplains and other pastoral staffs;

Lunch with Dr. Chris Nelson (President of St. John's College);

Meeting with a St. John's reading group to discuss C.S. Lewis' book The Screwtape Letters;

Speaking at the annual Fellows Reunion Banquet;

Speaking at the monthly Severn Leadership Group meeting;

Several other personal meetings.

I love hosting Ken because his intellect is only surpassed by his humility. When Ken opens his mouth, he immediately dispels the myth that the more knowledgable one becomes, the less they will entertain a belief in God. Ken gives us a glimpse into the intellect that God must have, and it is delightful to think that one day we will all think this clearly, and more.

Check the calendar out below, there are some excellent seminars coming up in the winter/spring. I still have one more speaker to add, so watch the next newsletter edition for this update.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. Aslan is on the move!!

Amy's Collegiate News:

October was a very busy, wonderful month! We had Blake Lewis come and visit with us from ELIC and had two events, one for the community to attend at the Federal House, and one at the Aslan House for St. John's students. These were great opportunities for those who might be interested in learning about how they can teach abroad and impact people for the Kingdom. We were also able to meet and connect with some St. John's students we hadn't seen before.

The Lewis reading group is going great! All total, we've had at least ten people come over the past month. We've finished The Magician's Nephew and The Screwtape Letters! We had a very interesting time with Ken Boa joining us for our last Screwtape discussion, and after he left we stayed for another hour, discussing. It's an exciting mix of people, both believers and nonbelievers, and I've had people asking about what's ahead! In two weeks we will start The Great Divorce. Please be praying for this group and for opportunities to speak truth and show students the love of Jesus!

Please keep our men's and women's fellowships in your prayers, and the wider Christian community at SJC! God is moving and has strategically placed believers on this campus. Pray for opportunities and conversations to share the love of Jesus!

In Him,

Amy
