Hanging Rock Camp July Newsletter
How is Camp Going?
More than halfway done with our summer programs, camp has been a huge success. With fifteen camps completed, we have already had 51 baptisms and even more dedications for Christ. This type of statistic is a good reminder of why we do camp. God is doing his work through Hanging Rock Christian Camp, and these 51 baptisms are a direct result of that fact. With only 10 Camps remaining, attendance is up to 1,186 campers fro so far. We are undergoing five more camps this week with hopefully more decisions for Christ and visible growth in the campers' walks with Jesus.
Chapel Update
We are still in the midst of raising money to renovate the chapel. From the fundraisers, church donations, and VBS missions money, we have obtained $67,989.69 of the need $180,000 to be able to start this construction. This is a very important endeavor to us because we would like to bring value back to the chapel. The place where we worship God should be the nicest place on our property, and that is our goal for the chapel renovation. If you would like to donate toward the Chapel project, you can do so online or by check. Remember to write on the check that it is going to the Chapel project.
Fish Fry
On August 27 of this year, Hanging Rock will be hosting a fish fry in the dining hall as a benefit for Janelle Lloyd. Janelle is the Food Service Manager/Registrar here at camp, and she has recently been diagnosed with a Thymoma Tumor. This tumor is wrapped around a nerve, afflicting her vocal cord and diaphragm. We would like to help her in paying some of the medical expenses of her treatment and support her as well. This will be a donation only event and all donations will go directly to Janelle Lloyd. If you will be writing a check make it out to Janelle Lloyd. Come out and join us for good food as we support and love on Janelle together.
Needed!!! Drone!
For Marketing purposes, Hanging Rock is in need of a sponsor for a remote controlled drone. We had the opportunity to view our property through the camera lens of a drone brought to FCA Motocross camp, and decided it would be beneficial in making excellent promotion videos to show off the camp and get people interested in coming. If you are interested in helping sponsor this cost, contact Executive Director Gary Baker through the link below.

Fall Family Camp
Join us at camp September 2nd through the 5th for Fall Family Camp! We will be joined by Ken Idleman as the guest speaker for Family Camp. Everyone is invited to the Hot Dog Roast celebrating the 50th anniversary of Labor Day Family Camp. Register now using the link below.

Hilton Roof Donations
Our Hilton Roof is in need of repair, and we have one of our supporting churches who has agreed to match our donations up to $4000 to help repair it. So far our donations add up to $1500.  We have a little ways to go to meet our matching end goal. If you would like to donate for the Hilton Roof, you can do so on the website, or by mailing a check, but be sure to write on the check that it is going toward the Hilton Roof.
