What is the Hardest Hit Fund Rhode Island?
Hardest Hit Fund Rhode Island (HHFRI) is a U.S. Treasury-funded effort to assist Rhode Island homeowners hardest hit by the foreclosure crisis. Rhode Island Housing was chosen to help administer the HHFRI program, which is designed to complement existing federal and lender programs. The program is available to eligible homeowners with a documented hardship.

Funding is intended to:
  • Prevent foreclosures
  • Stabilize the housing market in Rhode Island
  • Keep families in their homes

Please note: the HHFRI application and lender acceptance process may take several months. Stay involved and up-to-date! Fill out all the required paperwork, return it to HHFRI, and keep in contact with your lender and HHFRI representatives throughout the process.
