Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!

New School Hours 

Elementary school hours are 8:30 am - 2:55 pm
The building will open at 8:00 am for breakfast
Students enter the building at 8:20 am
Tardy bell rings at 8:30 am


New Absence Reporting Procedure

Please call the Schultz office at 740-833-1400 to report your student's absence (the SafeArrival absence reporting system will not be used for the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year).  If your child's absence is not reported by 9:00 am, you will receive a phone call from the school office. 
Ecollect forms (our online back to school forms) can be completed by logging into the PowerSchool Parent Portal  (Click here for instructions)

If you need assistance logging into your account, please call the Schultz office at 740-833-1400.
 First Day of School


K-5 Hybrid Learning Students in Group A will begin in-person on Monday, August 31st.  

K-5 Hybrid Learning Students in Group B will begin in-person on Wednesday, September 2nd.

Kindergarten Families please plan to park your car and meet on the front playground with your kindergartener (masks required) at 8:15 a.m.  Your child's teacher will meet you with your student and take them to their classroom.
Parent Communication


There are several ways to receive information about Schultz Elementary School and Delaware City Schools. Please check out the following:
  • District website - www.dcs.k12.oh.us
  • Text Messages: to receive text messages from DCS, opt in by texting the word YES to 67587 from the phone on which you want to receive the message.  The number must match the number we have listed in your students' contact file.  If you receive a message that the number is not in the DCS system, please contact the Schultz office and request to add your number or make a change to the number we have on file 
  • Schultz E-Mail List:    to be redirected to the DCS website and sign up to receive Schultz and DCS newsletters, special bulletins and other important information from Schultz Elementary School (check spam folder first time receiving).

2019-2020 Yearbooks are here!!!
The long-awaited yearbooks arrived over the summer, and will be distributed soon!
If you ordered a yearbook, this is how you will receive it:

- Dempsey 6th graders(last year's 5th graders) will get their yearbooks at Dempsey.
- Online Academy students will receive their yearbooks when they pick up their technology devices at Schultz, Wednesday, August 26th.
- All hybrid students will receive their yearbooks from their homeroom teachers during the first week of school. 

(There are some extra yearbooks available for purchase. Please contact the office during the first week of school if you are interested.)
