Only 7 school days until the holiday break!  We have a lot of events and activities happening between now and December 20, including the Dance Holiday Showcase tomorrow night, Bailey Bake Shop next Wednesday (PTSA still needs donations), and Grade level celebrations next Friday.

HUGE CONGRATS to the sixty-three students who were inducted into the Bailey Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society on Wednesday.  To even qualify to submit an application is very rigorous, but these students were selected from that group because they have demonstrated great character, academics, and community service.

Awesome job to our students who performed in Drama, Chorus, and Orchestra at Christmas in Davidson this past week.  Once again, our students and staff in the arts are showing off their outstanding talents.  Also, our Band performed their winter concert at Hough this week which was exceptional as well.

Shiva Palpanpoori represented Bailey well at the Northwest Learning Zone Spelling Bee on Monday.  We are very proud of Shiva with her second place finish.

Reminder: School Leadership Team (SLT) was rescheduled from November to next Tuesday, December 17 at 5:30 pm.

The 6th grade dance has been reschedule to January 31

  Annual Bailey Bake Shop

Attention all Bakers!

On December 18th, the PTSA will host the Annual Bailey Bake Shop.  We need your help in providing cakes, pies, cookies and other baked goodies to the Bailey staff.
We would love to have each staff member take home an entire dessert to share with their family over the Holidays.
Please sign up below to provide a delicious holiday treat and/or volunteer to help on December 18th.

  School Store Volunteers Needed

The Bailey Middle School store is open every morning before school starts from 8:45-9:15am.  Please consider signing up for a morning or as many mornings as you'd like to sell items in the store. Thank you for your willingness to volunteer at the Bailey School Store!
  Leadership Ambassadors Donations Needed

The Leadership Ambassadors will be collecting new winter hats, gloves, scarves and blankets to donate to those in need this winter season. For every item that your student brings in to donate, we will give their red block a point. The class on each grade level that has the most points at the end of the week, will earn a pizza party! This collection will take place from December 16th through December 19th. Students may bring their items to the ambassadors who will be stationed in the alcove near the cafeteria beside classroom D2.

Thank you!

  Grade Level Holiday Parties

This year, all grade levels will have a holiday celebration on December 20th.  Please see the individual grade level sign ups for your child(ren).  Thank you for helping make this a fun day for all!

  FBLA Announcement

Santa's Helpers is a community service partnership between Neighborhood Care Center of Cornelius and the Bailey MS FBLA club to provide food in the form of gift cards to locals in need. Last year we raised $870.00 in gift cards and gifts which helped 25 families.

The Santa's Helpers Teens tree is in the school's front lobby. Santa's Helpers gift tags have been placed on the table beside the tree. The Neighborhood Care Center has requested "Walmart" gift cards only this year. Students wishing to participate must first have their parents complete a permission form allowing them to take a gift tag.

Gift cards should be returned to the front office, attention Dr. Lester, by Thursday December18th.  Thank you in advance for supporting our community service project and for making Christmas a little brighter for local families who otherwise might not have food to eat.

Character Ed - November - Perseverance

Thank you to everyone that was able to attend our latest Character Ed Breakfast.  We celebrated the students listed below for demonstrating November's Character trait, Perseverance.  We are so proud of all of these students and applaud their great character.  Our next breakfast will be on Thursday, January 9th and we will be celebrating those students selected for their COURAGE.
Happy Holidays from the Character Ed committee.
