St. Joseph High School - A Catholic College Preparatory Community

Dear Friends,

Good morning and Happy Monday, St. Joes. I hope that you enjoyed the beautiful autumn weekend. As I reflect on the past week’s events, I am exceptionally grateful for our Family-School Partnership. The energy at Back to School Night was electric as our parents and faculty enthusiastically discussed our shared goal of educating and motivating our students. The Institutional Advancement Team hosted the Vines & Steins Parent Social on Saturday, further invigorating the excitement and positivity of our community – and we’re just getting started!

Let’s all be mindful that today is only the tenth day of classes; we are at the start of an exciting year-long marathon. Continued patience and steadfast perseverance are essential as students build new relationships with classmates and teachers, reestablish necessary school day stamina, and return to important daily routines and social protocols. The college preparatory program of study provided at St. Joes is intentionally challenging, yet thoughtfully built upon a strong Catholic foundation and delivered with support, love, and understanding. If your child is experiencing any difficulties (academic, social, emotional) in this very new school year, please contact our College and School Counseling Office, your child’s teacher(s), and/or the SJ administration to be matched with tools and resources for success.

Our event calendar this week includes: College Application Workshop; Student Academic Center’s Parent Breakfast Club; Fall Sports Pep Rally, and the Freshman Retreat. More specific information regarding each of these activities is provided for you below. Let me conclude by candidly addressing the social media buzz regarding Homecoming 2021. We have not cancelled any Homecoming activities. It is our sincere commitment to plan creative, solution-oriented and fun events to provide our students with a robust SJ experience while maintaining our important traditions.

I wish each of you a productive and fulfilling week ahead. May God bless you and your family.

In Faith and Fellowship,
David J. Klein
President
