A quick introduction from our Chair,
Dr. Eyas Hattab and ULH COO Ken Marshall
Colleagues,

Ken and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ms. Robin Swanson to the University of Louisville Health team. Robin has been appointed the new Anatomic Pathology Laboratory Director effective April 6, overseeing anatomic pathology budgetary and operational issues for the entire downtown campus. She will have dual reporting role to Mr. Marshal and I.

Robin carries 25 years of education in the field, including a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in healthcare management, ASCP Diplomate of Laboratory Management (DLM) Certification and ASCP Histotechnician (HT) Certification. She was trained as an advanced medical laboratory technologist and a histology tech during her 10 years active duty military. Robin also spent eight years at the Armed Forces Institute-Pathology.

Ms. Swanson comes to us from Largo, Florida where she was most recently a laboratory manager at Reliance Pathology Partners in Tampa, Florida. Her list of experience does not end there, however. She also served as a Histology Manager at IRL West Florida and at NCH Healthcare. She worked as a Matrix pathology supervisor at Health First Hospital System, a clinical coordinator at Carolina Dermatology, a histotechnologist at MUSC and a lead Mohs histology technologist at DHMC.

Robin has been in laboratory management since 2009 and has worked all over the country in places such as New Hampshire, South Carolina, Washington, DC and Colorado. We are very excited she has landed in Louisville, Kentucky to continue her journey with us.

Please be sure to extend a warm welcome to Robin and congratulate her on this new, exciting role.

Best,

Eyas M Hattab
