On the 16th we hosted a "Writing With Gail" event that launched A Ceiling Made of Eggshells with Gail Carson Levine. We tried a virtual poetry night in August and it worked out surprisingly well! It was great to hear poetry read by poets: Amy Nawrocki, Jonathan Andersen and David K. Leff read their works. VIDEO. We actually managed to host Independent Bookstore Day later in the month, which had been postponed from April. A celebration of books, authors and special editions. The day started with Representative Raghib Allie-Brennan on Facebook Live reading The Little Engine That Could from a secluded tucked-away back corner of the store.
