John Le Lay was a beloved member of the FC Richmond family for over 25 years. He contributed to the lives of hundreds of youth soccer players in the Richmond area. During his time with FC Richmond, John served as a Magic coach, Mystx coach, Metro coach, and was a longtime PDP coach. Sadly, in 2010, John lost his battle with cancer. His love and passion for the game of soccer will live on in the memories of the players and parents of those that knew him. To hear a special tribute about John Le Lay from Chip Tarkenton, click HERE .

"Beyond the Game" Player Spotlight
Lyla Charlet
Lyla Charlet, a player in FC Richmond’s PDP program, goes “Beyond the Game” by volunteering as a Buddy through RVAccess, a program that offers children with special needs the opportunity to play soccer. It is a cost-free program, which provides a fun, challenging, and exciting way for athletes of all abilities to play the game they love. Lyla enjoys being a Buddy because it allows her to encourage and help the athletes play soccer and have fun. She became involved with RVAccess through her sister, Addison, who is an athlete in the program. "She works hard and is a rockstar!", Lyla says about her sister. Lyla has been volunteering as a Buddy for one year. For more information about RVAccess, click HERE .
