" Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise His name. "
- Psalm 100:4
Dear Concordia Alumna/us,

Happy New Year and Blessed Epiphany!

As we enter a new year and a new decade, consider the timeless words of the psalmist to “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” We are grateful for a new year of opportunities and pray God’s blessings on you and your loved ones.

You’ll notice a new format to our monthly alumni newsletters, which we hope will bring you the most accurate information that’s easy and fun to read. If you have suggestions for the newsletter, or updates to include in the Arbor Light, please contact alumni@cuaa.edu

One more new thing – to introduce myself as your Director of Alumni Relations. I loved my experience as a student here (1988-1992), and have enjoyed connecting with SO many of you from all decades! I consider it an honor to serve CUAA alongside you.

January is a quieter season on campus as we make our way through Winterim, with our spring semester beginning on the 27 th . It’s always a beautiful time for a campus visit, so please let me know if you’d like to stop by.

God be with you,
Linda (Schramke) Sproul ‘92

Adopt-a-Student
and make a difference
Interested in directly helping a student in financial need? Consider our Adopt-a-Student program! Your gift (minimum $1,000) goes a long way in providing help for those who need it most. Students must be in good academic standing to complete an application, and you may earmark your gift to support the major or program of your choice. Past recipients have shared that, without this program, they would not have been able to stay enrolled. You receive personal thank you notes and photos of your adopted student. For more information, contact Linda Sproul at 734-995-7491 or via email.  Thank you for your prayers and support for our students!

Final thought from
Campus Pastor Randy Duncan
Each morning during the school year, our campus pastor, Randy Duncan, sends out an email full of inspirational thoughts, concepts to ponder, scripture, and prayer requests. We thought we would share some of his thoughts with you each month. Here is his final thought for us to contemplate.

Final Thought: When you replace “Why is this happening to me?” with “What do I need to learn from this?”, everything shifts.
