The Tiger's Roar!
Tildenville Elementary School, Winter Garden, FL
"A National Magnet School of Distinction"
Friday, April 24, 2020

As you no doubt know by now, last Saturday Governor DeSantis closed Florida's school through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. However, we will continue forward with our distance learning as we have since returning from spring break.

With the distance learning order now in place through year-end, I have included a few important reminders and resources within this issue to help our families. But above all, let me say that my main message for this edition is one of thanks and appreciation! I realize that this is not the perfect situation, but I remain so impressed with the efforts being put forth by our students, their families, our tireless educators, and the support staff heading into this last school week of April. I could not be more proud of everyone's continued commitment as we navigate through the last nine-week quarter of the year together.

I hope you enjoy your weekend under the circumstances and please take a moment in the next few days to explore our online bookstore (one week remaining). Your support is greatly appreciated and books truly do make wonderful gifts for children.

In Tiger Pride,

Agathe Alvarez
Proud Principal

Teacher Shout Out!
Ms. Hunter and Ms. Figueroa

I would like to send a special shout-out to Ms. Hunter and Ms. Figueroa for hosting a Zoom session with parents during week #2 of Distance Learning. It gave parents a chance to connect with the teachers and to ask any clarifying questions. I appreciate their receptiveness to serve our children no matter what is going on in the world.
