Avassa Arjune, QCC ’21, says the school made possible her successful pursuit of higher ed, giving her the strength she needed to develop into an ambitious and outspoken student. She has paid those prizes forward as a mentor for the CUNY Malave Leadership Academy and a student leader for QCC’s Political Science Society. Avassa will take her Queensborough Community College and CUNY pride with her to Columbia University in the fall.
