The Florida Atlantic University Tech Runway is now open for business in Jupiter. The FAU business incubator officially expanded its' services to the FAU Jupiter campus this month.

Rhys Williams, the managing director of FAU Tech Runway made the announcement during a BioFlorida Palm Beach and Treasure Coast chapter event held March 12 on the John D. MacArthur Campus. Williams hopes the expansion will help catapult dozens of technology startups and companies in the early stages of business in the Jupiter area. 
Brain Exhibit Ribbon Cutting
The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium’s Journey Through the Human Brain , a $2.5 million, 2,500-square-foot permanent exhibit is now open after three years of development.

The exhibit is a partnership between the South Florida Science Center and Florida Atlantic University’s Brain Institute. Major portions of the exhibit also feature significant hands-on participation from the Max Plank Florida Institute of Neuroscience and Scripps Research Institute of Florida

The exhibit opening also coincides with Florida Atlantic University’s Brain Institute’s “ Brainy Days 2019,” a celebration of neuroscience throughout the month of March. 
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will present a lecture by Jeremy Richman, Ph.D., a neuro-pharmacologist and CEO of the Avielle Foundation on Tuesday, March 19 at 4 p.m.

“The Neuroscience of Being Human(e)” will examine recent brain research that provides insights that can help everyday citizens to identify the signs and symptoms of someone troubled or in crisis, to responsibly advocate for those at risk of violence to themselves or to others, and, most importantly, to foster kind, healthy and compassionate individuals and communities.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will host the  LUNAFEST® Film Festival on Thursday, March 21 at 6 p.m.

LUNAFEST® is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. This season, the program of eight films – filled with stories of reflection, hope and humor – will travel to more than 175 cities and screen in front of 25,000 people.
