Apply to sit on AUMA’s new Municipal Financial Health Working Group. This working group will provide input on the design of a framework of metrics to assess the financial health of Alberta’s municipal governments.

Environment and Parks has been working on completing the new Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS) to launch on June 21, 2021. DRAS will be the only system applicants will use to submit Water Act approval applications, amendments and Code of Practice notices.
AUMA’s Welcoming and Inclusive Communities initiative is seeking applications from municipalities to participate in a Community Readiness for Newcomer Integration project.

The University of Calgary’s Civic Commons Catalyst wants to partner with three Alberta municipalities that are looking to revitalize their under-used space.

As part of its ongoing work under the Canada Infrastructure Plan, the Government of Canada committed to conducting a National Infrastructure Assessment to identify the needs and priorities for the nation’s infrastructure and plan for a net-zero emissions future by 2050.

One important legal mechanism put in place to ensure that preparedness and the appropriate response is achieved is the Emergency Management Act and its accompanying regulations.
