submitted to the MACC Meeting Requests page until August 23. After that date, please see the Provincial Appointments Desk at the Convention to inquire about meeting availability. Please note that the meeting request system for meetings with the Premier and Cabinet Ministers is now closed.
Do you want to learn which local governments are leading the way with innovative programs and best practices? Then come to the Excellence Awards ceremony at 5PM on Tuesday, September 24th to hear about some outstanding initiatives and to toast the winners. The ceremony takes place after the Tuesday workshops and before the Welcome Reception. It is open to all registered delegates.
Annual Banquet
A
n elegant and entertaining evening, the Annual Banquet is an opportunity for delegates and their partners to network with colleagues from around the province. This semi-formal event includes a reception and three-course meal. Be prepared for an evening of exciting entertainment with music performed by
Diane Lines, followed by one of
Vancouver's best live acts,
the
Famous Players Band
.
Pre-registration is required and there will be no reserved seating.

Registration Cancellation Deadline
If you can no longer attend Convention, you must cancel your registration in writing to
convention@ubcm.ca
.
Refund policies for cancellations are as follows:
- Cancel by August 9: 100% refund
- Cancel between August 10-23: 50% refund
- Cancel on/after August 24: no refund
Convention Code of Conduct
At the 2016 Convention, delegates endorsed resolution B103 asking UBCM to implement a convention code of conduct. Extensive work has been undertaken and we are pleased to advise that UBCM has a formal
Convention Code of Conduct in place for the 2019 Convention.
