January 2020 is School Board Recognition Month and we would like to thank each of our board of education members for their incredible service to our community and our public schools.
On January 13, 2020 we will welcome three new members; Mark

é, Scott Gardner and Dana Kossow. Three exiting board members, Carol Brandert, Gary Denning and Nedra Elbl, were honored at their final board meeting in December.

Granted! New Walking Aids for Physically-Challenged Students
Twenty-year-old orthopedic equipment used in occupational and physical therapies has run its course. Pacer and
crocodile gait trainers, also known as walking aids, will be replaced thanks to $5,000 from the Greater Salina Community Foundation.
Mike Lowers, Central Kansas Cooperative in Education executive director, explains, "It is exciting to see students literally learn to walk with these mechanical supports and, in many cases, walk unassisted as they grow up."
