A kaleidoscope of colors extending to the horizon
The magical intersection of slavery and freedom,
Of religion and tribalism: a cultural woven tapestry
Reaching back through the centuries
Bringing the spirit of the Cuban people
And culture to life
Poor and yet happy they shoulder on
Despite the many challenges
And complications which plague their lives
Fidel, the Moses of the Jewish people
Freed them from tyranny
Brought them to redemption
Through their struggle,
The Jews of Cuba continue to thrive
Their love for Israel and our history and Torah
Are the cornerstones of their lives.
The perseverance and strength
Of their determination to survive,
Like all of our ancestors
Wherever they have lived
Awe inspiring and compelling.
Worthy of the world to come
And the world they embrace
