'County Fire' Nearing Containment
The County Fire that has scarred mountains and rangeland in western Yolo has consumed over 90,000 acres. It continues to burn but Cal Fire states it has been 80% contained as of July 10. There were no injuries and a handful of structures lost. County emergency services staff worked with Cal Fire as field crews brought the fire under control. Still remaining are pockets of fuel that continue to burn within the interior of the fire but do not pose a threat to people or property. Special thanks to the brave men and women of Cal Fire for their hard work and dedication protecting our county.
