Thanksgiving Break
This week we conclude the 14th regular school week of the 2018-2019 school year. The students will be gone next week for their Thanksgiving break (November 19-23). Classes will resume on schedule Monday, November 26th.

Homework Club
Homework Club is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday as part of our morning clubs (morning clubs are listed below). The club is run by Ms. Fedrick and allows students the chance to take AR tests, complete iReady and iStation lessons, plus get homework help if needed. Simply ask for a ticket at the front door or in the lunchroom.

If you are traveling out on the busy roadways this Thanksgiving period, please drive safely and remember to buckle up. We want all of our Tiger families to have a safe and enjoyable time with their families and friends.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

i-Ready Resources for Families

All students K-5 have i-Ready available to them for practice both at school and at home. Students are also able to use the computers in the media center M, T, R and F to complete lessons. If you would like more information about i-Ready, please refer to the links below. Your child's teacher can also answer any questions you may have.

Book Swap!

All classes are participating in a book swap with a dual language school in Mexico. We have not received many books as of yet. Please consider donating a new or gently used book for this exchange. Our hope is to send one book per class in exchange for a book. Books can be dropped off in the front office in the blue bin. Thank you!

School Advisory Council (SAC)

A few projects being implemented in the school are underway! SAC's idea for decorating the stairs (below) and repainting the Paws in front of our school with the help of Mosaic Church and other parents/staff was completed.

Another SAC project was to build a partnership with a school in Puerto Rico and it was a success! We can't wait to hear back from them!

The first round of pen pal letters going to Puerto Rico have left Florida! We are anxiously waiting for letters to arrive from our new friends.

* SAC is currently working to implement a successful and thriving mentoring program. The details and official letter of how this program will work will go out after November's SAC meeting. If any parents know of possible volunteers/businesses that would like to be part of the program, please contact [email protected]

Science with Mrs. Gonzalez

Science with Mrs. Black

The students were recently studying about mealworm cycles. Mealworms serve as a introduction to lifecycles for young scientists. Studying mealworms gives kids a chance to observe, care for, and experiment with living creatures in a hands-on way.

Morning Clubs

Tigers Dentigersden
Snapshots of recent student activities for the community . . .

This past week Tigers Den has made it to the deep blue sea with our under the sea crafts. Students created activities where they learned about the many creatures you may encounter under water. Which leads to our very own treasure hunt to see which Tiger can find the hidden treasure. This week Tigers Den has been getting into the Thanksgiving spirit - learning what it means to thankful and will be participating in our random acts of kindness.

Our environmentalists, gardeners, and chiefs are enjoying their Tigerific weeks with the different activities they planned (pictures below). As 2018 is coming to an end next month, make sure to keep an eye out for the variety of clubs students can sign up for.

* Space in morning and afternoon care is still available.

** Please contact [email protected] for more information if you are interested in enrolling your tiger.
