There is an Individual Game this Thursday, 6 pm and sign up is required. Saturday, Nov. 17, Mike Bitonti is leading "Play and Learn" at 4 pm. You may come, even if you did not play in the game. Think about it.

52 FACTS of BRIDGE LIFE (good advice to give your partner) - so says Eddie Kantar
23) To lead top of a sequence at no-trump, the suit should have THREE adjacent honors (KQJx(x)). However, the third card in the sequence can be missing by one place - KQ109(x) is considered a sequence, KQ9xx is not and fourth highest should be led.

24) To lead an honor at a suit contract, only two adjacent honors are necessary and the top honor is led.

YOUR CONVENTION CARD should be filled out and should match your partner's card every time. But...you say....I play with different people; I don't know how to fill one out; I play just fine without one. OK, OK...but you still need one. It can be difficult for a director to make a ruling when partners don't have cards filled out. It saves giving out unauthorized information when your partner makes a call or explanation and your eyes suddenly go wide and you start fidgeting. Always have YOUR card, then show up early to discuss with your partner for that game. If you are unsure how to fill one out, you may 1) ask for help 2) agree to play 'yellow card'. Just make sure you understand it. And please, please call the director as soon as there is an irregularity. Let the director decide what happens next. He/She is there to help you and everyone else enjoy a fair game.

The game this week is ACBL Charity = Extra Points

Come out this Tuesday, November 13 for a
