BRIDE-TO-BE DONATES SHOWER GIFTS TO ASSISTANCE LEAGUE®
Katie Kruse's bridal shower had a new twist as Katie's guests were asked to bring items to donate to Assistance League's Assault Survivor Kits ® program.

In lieu of traditional bridal gifts, guests brought 110 pairs of flip flops, 41 sports bras, 231 pairs of socks, 9 tops/pants, along with some toiletries.

Assistance League's Assault Survivor Kits are given to trauma centers for survivors of sexual assault. "This was an incredibly selfless gift from this beautiful young woman" said Rose Dirksen, past president of Assistance League.

Assistance League®  of Southeastern Michigan, founded in 1993 and serving Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties, is a nonprofit, all-member volunteer organization whose mission is to clothe, feed, educate and comfort children and adults through community-based programs.
