Greetings!
In two weeks, Holy Family University will celebrate its 66th birthday! The Charter Day celebration, now referred to as Great Day to be a Tiger, includes Mass, Tiger Talks (like TED talks), a Birthday Party with Stock's Birthday Cake, and our second annual Day of Giving Campaign. Our goal is to break the donor participation record with 200 donors in one day!
Detailed information will be coming soon, but we hope you will consider making a gift to the University to commemorate this exciting milestone.
In the meantime, read on about all of the exciting things happening on campus and mark your calendar to join us at an upcoming Alumni Event! Thank you for your continued support in all our initiatives and hope to see you soon.

Middle States Update
Many of you are aware that Holy Family University (HFU) is accredited by the regional accreditation agency, the Middle States Commission for Higher Education (MSCHE), generally referred to as Middle States. To maintain accreditation, the University must periodically apply for reaffirmation of accreditation. For HFU, this is occurring during the 2020-2021 academic year.
In preparation for this reaffirmation, under the direction of the MSCHE Steering Committee comprised of appointed faculty and staff members, Holy Family University has been engaged in an in-depth self-study, following MSCHE’s Requirements of Affiliation and the Standards of Accreditation.
We want you to be a part of the process. Over the next year, all alumni are encouraged to regularly visit
holyfamily.edu/middlestates
to read detailed information and updates, and to participate and contribute to our self-study process.
We thank you in advance for your feedback!
Dr. Bernice Purcell, DBA ’85 and John Andelfinger, Co-Chairs of the Middle States Steering Committee

Holy Family Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2019 Officially Inducted
|
|
Holy Family University officially inducted the newest members of the Holy Family Athletics Hall of Fame, as three outstanding student-athletes and two legendary coaches were enshrined as the Class of 2019 on Saturday night at the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia Northeast.
This year's class included,
Catherine Carr
'11 (Women's Basketball), Melissa Murphy '03 (Women's Soccer), Allison Maddock '01 (Softball), Mike McLaughlin '91 (Women's Basketball Head Coach) and Dan Williams (Men's Basketball Head Coach).
Nearly 160 guests were on hand for the first Hall of Fame induction since 2010. The induction ceremony began with emcee James Allsman, the Voice of the Tigers, welcoming everyone and introducing
Tim Hamill '04 M'08
, Holy Family's
Director of Athletics.
Each inductee was introduced by someone of their choosing that shared stories, memories and career-highlights of each individual.
"It was an amazing evening highlighting the careers of five individuals that made a huge impact at Holy Family," said Hamill. "To officially induct them as Hall of Famers is truly an honor. It was great to see so many alumni along with family and friends. The love and support for all inductees was on full display tonight."
The Holy Family Athletics Hall of Fame was founded in 2009 with the inaugural class to honor those former Holy Family student-athletes, coaches and administrators who have exhibited high moral character as defined in the University's Mission Statement and Core Values.
