Summer 2019 Newsletter
June 25, 2019
Greetings!
President's Message

The rain has led into a green summer! Green symbolizes life and growth. At NAAAP Detroit we learn to play and play to grow. We equip our members to better engage in their work place and community. In June, NAAAP Detroit held two events that gave our members exposure to new experiences that helped them expand their comfort zone and grow to reach their potential.

June 9 - Learn & Grow Session III, Public Speaking - Fear No More: Speaker participants conquered their fear of public speaking and received valuable feedbacks from our panel of judges.

June 22 – Let’s Play Pickleball: Our first team building event, a truly experiential learning and networking opportunity. The after-game poolside pizza party gave us a unique opportunity to connect on a more personal level.

July 30 - We invite you to join us for a community outreach program at the Detroit Library. Come and share your favorite childhood songs, books, and games with children from the Detroit area.

August 22 – 24 The Unconventional Leader. Lead Boldly. NAAAP Kansas City Chapter is co-hosting the NAAAP National Leadership Convention at the Westin Crown Center located in the heart of beautiful Kansas City.

Our Membership Committee Chair Ann Hong has a slew of good news for you: To sign up for membership on-line; the Meet Fellow Members and Membership Champion Program. We also warmly welcome David Roden joining us as the Sponsorship Committee Co-Chair. Angelina Lai joining us as the Membership Committee Co-Chair. We are always looking for passionate people who are interested in joining our board and leadership teams. Please contact me at  president@naaapdetroit.org  if you are interested.

Enjoy your summer!
