Magic Team heads to Spain
Players from FC Richmond's 02 and 03 Magic teams are headed to Madrid on July 26th! They will have the opportunity to train with Real Madrid Foundation coaches and will have three matches against local clubs. In addition, the team will have the opportunity to sightsee in Madrid, as well as Toledo and Segovia. They will benefit from watching and playing high level games and experiencing the life and culture in Spain. What an exciting trip for these players!
"Panel & Play" Event
Join us for our first "Panel & Play" event on Wednesday, July 17th at 3pm at the MAC. Our Junior Board is hosting this special event for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in learning more about playing collegiate soccer and the recruitment process. College coaches and FCR alumni will answer questions and share personal experiences to provide guidance to those interested in playing collegiate soccer. Afterwards, the panel members and players will have an opportunity to challenge each other to a futsal game!
World Cup Watch Parties
FC Richmond World Cup Watch Parties have been a blast! We watched the US beat Spain at Fox & Hound last week, we cheered on the US to a win against France at Wood & Iron on Friday and celebrated another victory against England in the semi-finals on Tuesday! Join us to watch the World Cup Finals on Sunday at 11am at Wood & Iron. We hope to see you there as we cheer on the US to win the World Cup!
Summer Futsal
Our summer futsal program is off to a great start! We have coed teams competing against other FCR teams for 8 weekends of play. It's a great opportunity to enhance quickness and footwork while playing competitive matches. There will be no games on July 7th, but we look forward to seeing everyone again on the 14th!
Congratulations to Mekhi Vickerie
Congrats to FC Richmond Magic player, Mekhi Vickerie, who is one of the 2019 Generation adidas International Select Players! Mekhi joins an exclusive group of players who will travel to the Netherlands in August to train and play with Ajax, one of the top academy clubs in the world. FC Richmond is proud to be one of 45 clubs in the country who will have a player represented. Way to go, Mekhi!

Summer Soccer Camps & Training Opportunities
Non-Stop Soccer's summer camp season is off to a great start! Our summer camp line up includes 3 recreational camps and 2 advanced player camps.
Summer Recreational Camps: 8/12-16, 8/19-23
Summer Pre-Season Advanced Camp: July 22-26
Shooting & Goal Keeper Camp: Aug 5-9
Summer camps run from 8:30-11:30am at Huguenot Park

Dave Amsler's Summer Camp, "A Camp Designed for Developing Moves"
Session I - July 29-Aug 1 - Emphasis is on “Fast Foot- work and Improving the Basic Technique”. This session is designed to develop ball suppleness.
Session II - Aug 12-15 - Helps you incorporate the moves into the game. Players leave as more attractive soccer players through learning “Feints and How to Beat an Opponent
Session III - Aug 19-22 - Focuses entirely on tactical application of moves in game environments. Each applicant must have mastered Session I & II before applying for Session III. For more information click HERE .

Total Soccer Training (TST) is a supplemental training program designed to help players reach their full potential. TST offers small group training and one-on-one training. TST training options and pricing structure have been improved to offer more options while saving money! TST group training prices have been lowered, and players can sign up with their OWN group if they would like to train with friends, teammates, etc. For more information click HERE .
Pro23 Team Updates
It's been an exciting Pro23 season this summer!

  • Our Men’s record is 3 wins, 2 losses and one game to play at Roanoke on 7/6.
  • Men also scrimmage CCL United on 7/7 at River City Sportsplex.
  • 22 of the 31 players are all current or former FC players.
 
  • Our Women’s record is 3 wins, 2 ties, and a loss 
  • 20 of the 26 players are all current or former FC players 

Come out to support the team at the CCL scrimmage on 7/7 at 3pm at River City Sportsplex, field 6.
Travel News
  • Summer indoor training begins the week of July 8th at at MAC. Come sharpen your skills as you prepare for the fall season.
