Aug. 11-17  
Steve Augeri, former lead singer of the iconic band Journey, will rock the Hoover stage on Saturday, Aug. 11, and the Lakeside Symphony Orchestra will close its summer concert series on Tuesday, Aug. 14 with guest conductor Michael Chertock and pianist Dror Biran. Enjoy a meal with your loved ones at the weekly Wednesday Family Picnic, and don't forget to end the night with some delicious ice cream. This week is also devoted to the works of C.S. Lewis with engaging lectures, a one-man play with David Payne and research shared by Preacher of the Week, the Rev. Dr. Jerry Root.
Aug. 18-24 
Before the summer ends, make a splash in the new pool or take a wellness class at the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus. The legendary Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone returns to Lakeside on Saturday, Aug.18 for an evening of English pop music. Beautiful flowers will grace the lobby of Hoover for the Northwestern Ohio Gladiolus Show from Aug. 18-19. The Michael Shirtz Quartet will debut their new album, Blue Skies, on Tuesday, Aug. 21, and the final shuffleboard tournament of the summer, the Lakeside Draw Doubles, will take place on Thursday, Aug. 23.  
Aug. 25-Sept. 1 
Take advantage of our reduced rate Chautauqua Passes from Sunday, Aug. 26-Monday, Sept. 3. Shop unique treasures at the Lakeside Antique Show on Saturday, Aug. 25 and Lakeside Heritage Society Recycle Sale from Friday, Aug. 31-Monday, Sept. 3. Also, don't forget to grab fresh produce from the last Farmers' Market of the season. Stray Cats' Slim Jim Phantom will "Rock this Town" on Saturday, Aug. 25 with his neo-rockabilly sound, while local musicians will perform in the park, making it the perfect backdrop for an evening picnic with Lakeside friends.
