Meet Mariana, Our Patient of the Month

Mariana was born with Crouzon syndrome, a genetic disorder that prevents the skull from growing normally. This caused difficulties with her breathing, and unfortunately, in Venezuela, where Mariana was born, they did not have the resources to treat her condition. Read Mariana's Story

A Patient Surprise at Fashion Gives Back

Miami's most fashionable attended MCYA's 6th Annual Fashion Gives Back on Sept. 28. The highlight of the evening was when Nicklaus Children's patient, Izabella, diagnosed with bone cancer at age 7, came out and walked the runway, two years after her first appearance at Fashion Gives Back when she was in a wheelchair. Thanks to the care she received at Nicklaus Children's, Izabella is able to walk again, which she proudly showed to all the guests, thanking them for their support.

Give Nicklaus Children's Hospital Your 'Heart' at Target Stores

Now through November 5, you can help direct a portion of a charitable donation from Target to Nicklaus Children's Hospital when visiting the Target stores in Cutler Ridge and Pembroke Pines.
