Various changes have been made in recent years to the UPC, UTC and other statutes that affect trusts and estates. This CLE will provide a quick overview of some of the more subtle, but important, changes that you may have missed. Come make sure you are up to speed.

The State Bar welcomes candidates on the 2018 New Mexico ballot to connect with their constituents in the legal community during a reception from 7-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 at the State Bar Annual Meeting at the Tamaya Resort and Spa. In addition to the opportunity to network with attendees on an individual basis, we will also provide each candidate with an open forum to promote their campaign. If you have a friend or colleague running for an office this year, please have them contact Breanna Henley to participate in the Election Special.

The Senior Lawyers Division will sponsor the Second Judicial District Court Civil Legal Clinic from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Aug. 1. Volunteers are needed to give brief, free legal advice during the clinic to community members in need. Attorneys are expected to issue spot and use other attorneys as resources. Email Bill Burgett by July 27, to volunteer. The Clinic will take place in the 3rd floor conference room at the Court, located at 400 Lomas N.W. in Albuquerque.
