"Beyond the Game" Player Spotlight
Chase Gunlicks
Chase Gunlicks, a player in FC Richmond’s recreational program, has gone “Beyond the Game” by giving his time and energy to be a volunteer coach for some of the younger teams in our rec program. Chase describes his experiences by saying, “It’s rewarding to see the younger players apply some of the skills that I taught them and see them enjoy playing soccer.” Chase has also assisted Bill Phillips, the recreational program director, in many different ways, such as setting up fields and helping with equipment. Chase said, “Anytime I’m at the field, I always try to check with Mr.Phillips to see how I can help, because I appreciate the great job he does every year managing our rec program and giving kids like me opportunities to develop new skills.” Chase has been an ambassador of the game to young players, as well as providing assistance to the rec program in any way he can. Thank you for your hard work, Chase!
